Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post 9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows institutions of higher learning in the United States to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the VA to fund net tuition and fee expenses that exceed the annual maximum cap for private institutions. The institution can contribute up to 50% of those expenses and VA will match the same amount as the institution.
The Yellow Ribbon Enhancement contribution is applied to remaining net tuition and fee charges, not including housing, after a student exhausts the Chapter 33 national maximum for the academic year. The Yellow Ribbon contribution amount listed in the table below may not cover a student's remaining tuition balance. In this case, the student must make other arrangements to cover their tuition and fee balance after all Chapter 33 and Yellow Ribbon payments have been applied.
The table below identifies the contributions that Ӱ will provide to eligible students in conjunction with the Yellow Ribbon Program:

Enrollment Verification
All Montgomery GI Bill® (MGIB) (Ch 30 & Ch 1606) students are required to verify enrollment monthly. Post 9/11 GI Bill® (Ch 33) students receiving Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) are now required to verify their enrollment to continue receiving their MHA. Chapter 33 students must call the Education Call Center (ECC) at 1-888-442-4551 to provide the VA with your contact information.
What is enrollment verification?
Enrollment verification is a new requirement for Post-9/11 GI Bill® students. Montgomery GI Bill® (MGIB) students this new requirement does not represent a change for you, as MGIB students are already required to verify enrollment. When verifying enrollment, students are verifying that they have remained enrolled in the same courses or training every month.
This requirement does not impact other programs, such as the Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA), or the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship.
