History: The Diocese of Wilmington was erected from territory in the Diocese of Philadelphia (Delaware) and Archdiocese of Baltimore (eastern Maryland and eastern Virginia), 1868. It lost its territory in Virginia, 1974, and it has evangelized Native Americans, 1990s-present.

1999-2010s

The Wilmington Diocese founded and maintained a Native American Ministry, among Native American Catholics (e.g. Nanticoke, Delaware), Wilmington and elsewhere in Delaware

2010s-present

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Bear, has administered the Native American Ministry
