History: Founded in Ireland, 1775, the Sisters of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary self-identify with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淧.B.V.M.鈥 They made their first U.S. foundation in Dubuque, Iowa, 1874, under the leadership of Mother Vincent Hennessy. Sisters from the congregation have served the following ministries among Native Americans.
