History: Founded in Warsaw, Poland, 1855, the Felician Sisters self-identify with the post-nominal initials, "C.S.S.F." and made their first U.S. foundation at Sacred Heart Church, Polonia, Wisconsin. There they evangelized nearby Winnebago [Ho Chunk] Indians, 1870s.
