History: Immaculate Conception Church, Ajo, Pima County, Arizona, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Tucson (Archives: Tucson, Arizona). It has been administered by Tucson diocesan priests who attended to Ss. Simon and Jude Mission (Tohono O’odham), Gila Bend, 1916-1956 (transferred to San Solano Missions, Topawa).
