History: In tandem with other nearby missions, Jesuits and Franciscans at Los Santos Ángeles Mission and San José Mission, Tumacacori, Arizona, evangelized Native Americans (e.g. Pima, Tohono O’odham) in the northern borderlands of New Spain.
