History: The Diocese of Fresno was reerected from territory in the Diocese of Monterey-Fresno, 1967. It reported fewer than 1,000 baptized Native American Catholics, 1999. The Fresno Diocese and its predecessors have administered the following Native American missions and parishes:

Mater Dolorosa Mission (Yokuts), Terra Bella, Tulare County

1920-present (Fresno, 1967-present)

1920-present (Fresno, 1967-present)

St. Edward Mission (Yokuts), Stratford/ Stratton, Kings County

1926-present (Fresno, 1967-present)

Santa Rosa Mission (Yokuts), Santa Rosa Rancheria, Kings County
