History: The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur self-identify with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淪.N.D.deN.鈥 and founded their California Province, 1851. Previously, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur had administered St. Joseph鈥檚 College and Academy for Girls, Willamette, Oregon, 1843-1849, which had served some M茅tis students.
