History: Founded in Cuba, 1911, the Boerne Benedictine Sisters of Pontifical Jurisdiction self-identify with the post-nominal initials of “O.S.B.” They relocated to South Texas, 1918, and to Boerne, 1962, where they established St. Scholastica’s Monastery. One of their sisters administered the Eastern Navajo Landowners’ Rights Project (Navajo), Crownpoint, New Mexico, 1994-1995.
