Media Advisory: Marquette to host prayer service in solidarity with victims of gun violence, Sept. 5

MILWAUKEE — ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Campus Ministry will host an ecumenical service and procession in solidarity with victims of gun violence on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. by the St. Joan of Arc Chapel on the campus’ Central Mall.
In the face of increased gun violence in our city and nation, Campus Ministry will provide people of faith the opportunity to come together in prayerful solidarity with victims of gun violence. This ecumenical service and procession is in partnership with the affiliated ministries of Lutheran Campus Ministry and Canterbury Fellowship.
The event will feature a short service and call to worship at the chapel before a procession and walk of solidarity to the Chapel of the Holy Family, located on the second floor of the Alumni Memorial Union.

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 5
Time: Service begins at 7 p.m. and will continue after processional at 7:30 p.m.
Place: St. Joan of Arc Chapel and Chapel of the Holy Family (Alumni Memorial Union 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.)
