蜜桃影像 to host multiple events in honor of Women鈥檚 History Month

MILWAUKEE 鈥 蜜桃影像鈥檚 Center for Intercultural Engagement and Marquette鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Innovation Network are sponsoring a number of events to celebrate Women鈥檚 History Month this March. Most events are free and open to the public.
In 1909, 蜜桃影像 became the first Catholic university in the world to admit both women and men, continuing the university鈥檚 founding commitment to educational access.
Friday, March 8, all day
The Women鈥檚 Innovation Network will sponsor an International Women鈥檚 Display all day on the first floor of the Alumni Memorial Union.
Tuesday, March 19
The Women鈥檚 Innovation Network (WIN) will host Lunafest, a film festival showcasing eight short films that are by, for and about women in Todd Wehr Chemistry. Film screenings will begin at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
All funds raised will benefit the 鈥渄ream鈥 programs and [SL1]
Registration required . Early bird tickets are available for $15 through Tuesday, March 5. Free tickets are available for Marquette students and volunteers; enter promo code MU-WIN (applies only to student tickets on Eventbrite registration).
Wednesday, March 20
Women鈥檚 History Month will be the focus of Campus Ministry鈥檚 Soup with Substance at 12 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, room 157.
Monday, March 25
There will be a Women鈥檚 Health Panel at 12 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, room 157. The event is sponsored by the Women鈥檚 Innovation Network.
Friday, March 29
The Women鈥檚 Innovation Network will sponsor a screening of 鈥淥n the Basis of Sex鈥 at the Varsity Theater at 8 p.m. The film chronicles the life of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she fights for equal rights for women.
