PHOTO/INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITY: 蜜桃影像 to send one of the largest groups to participate in Nurses Day at the Capitol
February 26, 2019
蜜桃影像鈥檚 College of Nursing will send around 100 faculty members and students to Madison to participate in Wisconsin鈥檚 annual Nurses Day at the Capitol.
Nurses Day at the Capitol, led by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, is designed to help nurses in Wisconsin appreciate the importance of their role in influencing health policy and affecting change in their practice. The intent is for nurses to take the information learned at Nurses Day and use it to advocate for better nursing practice and better patient care in their work environments and communities, and ultimately to advance the profession. More than 500 RNs, APRNs, student nurses and nursing faculty participate in this annual event.
鈥淭his day offers our students a great education outside the classroom, lab and hospital setting by teaching them how they can better advocate for legislation aimed at protecting nurses and their patients,鈥 said Sandi Van Den Heuvel, associate dean for undergraduate studies in the College of Nursing.
Buses depart from Emory Clark Hall, 530 N. 16th St., at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb 27.
Sandi Van Den Heuvel, associate dean for undergraduate studies, will be available for interviews prior to departure.
