Dr. Schindler is an experienced critical care pediatric nurse practitioner, health systems leader, and educator who is passionate about leveraging her knowledge of health systems and pediatric care to advocate for just policies that advance the health and well-being of children and families at the local, state, and national levels. She is actively engaged in the work of advocating for policies that address the public health crisis of gun violence. She proudly serves as the faculty advisor for the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Team ENOUGH chapter, a youth-led organization devoted to educating young voices about gun violence and mobilizing them to take meaningful action against it. She currently holds a joint appointment between the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ College of Nursing where she serves as a Clinical Professor and the Medical College of WI/Children’s WI where she currently serves as the Advanced Practice Provider Director for Critical Care. Dr. Schindler leads global health programs in South Africa and Peru in which students explore health disparities through the lens of health, human rights, and social justice.
