How to Enroll

No appointment is necessary for summer classes. Registration closes one week before the start of classes for the summer term in which you wish to enroll. To browse classes offered during summer, visit and select the summer term from the first drop-down menu.

Fall freshmen/new undergraduate students
If you have been admitted as a freshman or transfer student for the fall 2021 academic term, you can enroll by emailing the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (admissions@marquette.edu) with your name, date of birth and request. It is helpful, but not necessary, to provide your Marquette ID in your email. Once your application is processed (typically 3-5 business days), you should contact your academic college's office for registration advice.
If you wish to begin as a new undergraduate student in summer 2022, you need to complete the . New students who wish to continue into a future semester will be required to submit academic transcripts and ACT or SAT test scores (if applicable).

Returning Marquette students
If you have previously attended classes at Marquette or if you are graduating in May 2022 and would like to take a summer course, you are a returning student. Please fill out the readmission form. Once you've been readmitted, you'll be able to log in to CheckMarq and register for classes.

New visiting students who have never attended Marquette
Visiting students are seeking a degree at another academic institution and are taking courses at Marquette to transfer to their home institution or for other academic reasons.
Complete the . Non-degree applicants only need to submit an application to begin admission review, but, Marquette may request academic transcripts of non-degree applicants if needed in order to finalize our review. Admission review takes about two weeks. International students should complete the .

Returning visiting students
Visiting students are seeking a degree at another academic institution and are taking courses at Marquette to transfer to their home institution or for other academic reasons.
Returning visiting students:
If you attended Marquette as a visiting student for a previous summer term, complete the Visiting Student Request for Readmission form and submit all required documents listed in the form no later than one week prior to the start of the session in which you wish to enroll.
Consult the academic calendar for the session dates. Once your application has been processed, the Office of the Registrar will contact you.

Visiting graduate students
Interuniversity exchange programs
Graduate students from other universities may take one or more classes at Marquette via the interuniversity exchange program. The application process is simple, and your tuition obligation is to your home university.
Medical College of Wisconsin
Medical College of Wisconsin students may take one or more courses at Marquette.
The application fee is waived, and no supporting documents other than confirmation from an MCW official that you are a degree-seeking graduate student in good standing and are eligible for the exchange program are required. The MCW certifying official is Angela Gord, agord@mcw.edu or (414) 955-8218
You will be responsible to MCW for tuition, and Marquette tuition will be waived for students who are admitted to the exchange program.

UWM students may take one or more courses at Marquette.
The application fee is waived, and no supporting documents other than confirmation from a UWM official that you are a degree-seeking graduate student in good standing and are eligible for the exchange program are required. The UWM certifying official is Chris Parks ccp2@uwm.edu or (414) 229-6332).
You will be responsible to UWM for tuition, and Marquette tuition will be waived for students who are admitted to the Exchange Program.
