After nearly two decades of serving on Milwaukee’s Common Council, Willie, a former men’s basketball player, has taken on a new challenge with the city’s housing authority.

 


Lifetime Achievement Award

Robert QuinnROBERT E. QUINN, ARTS '58
Scottsdale, Ariz.

Inspired by his family’s baseball legacy, Robert went on to become a general manager for three Major League Baseball teams: the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants.

Patrick and Jane met at Marquette and were married for 45 years. To give back to the university, they established a scholarship endowment fund for soccer student-athletes, one of the first of its kind.

Jamil learned he could be more than a basketball player at Marquette. Now he’s passing along lessons to disadvantaged kids at St. Paul Youth Services in Minnesota.

 

 

M Club Hy Popuch Memorial Service Award

Cedarburg, Wis.

Receiving a great education and playing Division 1 soccer were the main reasons Brian decided to attend Marquette. Since then, he has worked to continually enhance the student-athlete experience at Marquette through his service on the M Club Board, and he and his wife Laura recently established an endowed scholarship.
