Posting Jobs & Internships

Through Handshake, employers may post descriptions for intern and full time employment opportunities and schedule on-campus interviews.  This resource is free for employers.

On-Campus Interviews

Recruiting through on-campus interviews is an excellent way to connect with talented students and enhance your organization’s on-campus brand.  On-campus interviews will be held in the Career Center’s professional interview suites.  Business Career Center staff are happy to discuss on-campus interview processes with you and to schedule a visit to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ!  On-campus interview requests may be entered through .

Publicity and Events

Business Career Center staff are happy to help organizations visit campus to connect with and recruit students.  Please contact our office to discuss scheduling.

Event Publicity: When classes are in session, the BCC emails students with a newsletter.  Virtual and in-person events posted to Handshake will be considered for inclusion.  Contact businesscareers@marquette.edu to request or with questions.

Schedule a Publicity Table: Organizations may reserve a table in the College of Business Administration entry or first floor lobby. Publicity tables are most effective when an organization is promoting the company and an opportunity (a job, internship, case competition, office visit, etc.). To schedule a publicity table, the Business Career Center requires that employers:

  1. Post a job or internship opportunity or event (case competition, open house, etc.) within Handshake.
  2. Comply with the principles for professional practice as outlined by the (NACE).
  3. Not charge fees to the student to apply to or begin working with the organization.

Promotion: To promote your visit to campus, Business Career Center staff will:

  • Ask you to post your table date, time and recruitment focus to the Handshake career website.
  • Include your table in the newsletter emailed to all business students.

Scheduling Considerations: Most organizations will visit campus for 3-5 hours.  We recommend scheduling a table Mondays-Thursdays as fewer classes are scheduled on Fridays.  To consider your lobby table dates and times to align with students in specific courses or majors, please consider reviewing the .  Student traffic is busiest during the times between classes.  Starting your lobby table 15-20 minutes before a time when classes change is a way to efficiently maximize your time on campus.

Reservation Maximums: To provide opportunities for students to connect with a range of employers, the Business Career Center will schedule a maximum of three lobby table dates per organization prior to October 15th and March 15th. After October 15th and March 15th, organizations may schedule additional lobby tables as availability permits.

Host an Information Session: Organizations may reserve a room in the business school or University Career Center for an information session. Organizations often host information sessions before an application deadline or in the day or two before an on-campus interview.  Please contact our office if you have questions.

Working with the Business Career Center staff to schedule your event.

We will be best able to help with scheduling and publicity for lobby tables and information sessions with at least two weeks' notice.

If your organization is interested in creating a new or larger-scale campus event, confirming the date and goals with the Business Career Center one month prior to the start of each semester will enable us to help your organization most effectively (especially for events that will require multiple room reservations and a larger campus catering order).  For larger events, the campus catering menu and AV rental costs are listed on the Event Management website

Employers participate in numerous career-focused events each year.  Please review regularly-occurring events within the College of Business Administration through the links below and contact Business Career Center staff if you have any questions.  

LEAD Career Course Involvement

The LEAD 1050, 2000 and 3000 career courses are required of all College of Business Administration undergraduates and provide great opportunities for employers to support students. Fall 2022 opportunities include:

  • LEAD 3000 Practice Interviews:The LEAD 3000 course consists of mainly juniors and seniors, and all students complete a practice interview to enhance interview preparation with industry-specific feedback.  Within 40 minutes with each student, employer volunteers interview students for 25 minutes and then give the student feedback on their interview skills and resume.  There is no pressure for an employer to make any type of offer to the student regarding an internship or job, but volunteers are most welcome to take advantage of the connection by following up with students who make excellent impressions!
  • Additional Course Involvement Opportunities are available through the Business Career Center Employer Engagement Program.  Please contact us to discuss this opportunity further.

Student Organizations

Attending student organization meetings is an excellent way to meet with students in focused group settings.

Connect with Faculty & Centers

Target undergraduate students whose majors are of interest to your corporation by connecting with one of our departments or centers/programs. Target graduate students by connecting with our Graduate School of Management. Faculty members are always interested in interacting with employers who can share business experiences with students.

Mentoring Students

Build your company’s brand on campus and impact students.  The Mentor Program provides an excellent opportunity for students in the junior class to learn about the world of business from a professional.  Professionals with at least five years of experience are encouraged to learn more and volunteer.
