Associate Professor Emeritus of Management - International Business

Dr. Jamshid C. Hosseini is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Management Science and Operations Management at Ӱ, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.. He has extensive record of collaboration with various international universities and institutions. He has been involved with curriculum development, program development, faculty development, teaching and research around the world including Belgium, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, and Spain, among many other locations.

Dr. Hosseini has been central in developing partnerships with several Chinese key universities including Peking University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Sun Yat-Sen University (Guangzhou and Zhuhai), Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (Chengdu), and Tongji University (Shanghai).  Dr. Hosseini has served as the Program Co-Chair for the West Lake International Conference on Small and Medium Sized Business (WLICSMB), which is held annually in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.

Dr. Hosseini’s research interests include the application of quantitative and statistical techniques to multi-criteria, multi-attribute, multi-objective decision making in business, international operations management and global project management. He has served as the Chairman of the Multi-criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Artificial Intelligence Clusters in the National Meetings of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). He is the past President of the American Statistical Association-Milwaukee Chapter and has held various positions including Presidency of the Mid-Western Decision Sciences Institute.

Dr. Hosseini has publications in several professional journals including Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Energy Services Journal, Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Business & Society, Business Ethics Quarterly, Business Horizons, Group Decision and Negotiation, and Global Journal o f Business.  He has co-edited the Proceedings for several Conferences including the Decision Sciences Institute (Midwest Region), and WLICSMB.

He is a current or past member of INFORMS, Decision Sciences Institute, American Society for Quality, and the American Statistical Association. In his current role, Dr. Hosseini is a member of NAFSA, EAIE, and AmCham-China.
