Associate Professor of Economics

Dr. Jolly joined 蜜桃影像 in 2012. He received his Ph.D. and MA in economics from the University of Connecticut, and he received his BS in managerial economics from Bentley University. Prior to joining Marquette, Dr. Jolly worked for two years as an economist at the Connecticut Department of Labor and as a lecturer for three years at Central Michigan University.

Dr. Jolly is an applied labor economist and primarily studies the various determinants of an individual鈥檚 earnings and income. Specifically, Dr. Jolly鈥檚 research focuses on the experiences of individuals who suffer from involuntary job loss and negative shocks to their health. His recent work on job loss examines how displacement impacts young adults.  His latest health-related research investigates the spousal labor supply response to the onset of work-limiting disabilities and how these shocks impact earnings volatility over time. Dr. Jolly also has a line of research investigating gender differences in the returns to schooling.
