Professor Emeritus of Management

Dr. Syam joined Ӱ in 1994 after earning a Ph.D in Management Science at Texas A&M University. Outside of his academic training, Dr. Syam has had business experience as a consultant, systems administrator, and programmer with firms in the United States and India. He also earned an M.B.A from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. His interests lie in the application of optimization techniques to diverse areas, such as location analysis, healthcare, and operations-marketing synergy.
