Creative Writing
CREATIVE WRITING LIVES HERE!
Creative writers produce original novels, short stories, poetry, plays, screenplays, comics, and personal essays. Our vibrant creative community helps students boost their marketable skills while also (just as importantly!) chasing their dreams. We sponsor many readings, writing groups, and celebrations, which are generally announced on the English home page.
STUDY CREATIVE WRITING
Creative writing courses are offered every semester; our fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and multimodal classes are taught by acclaimed, widely-published faculty, including Sebastian Bitticks, Tyler Farrell,Tosin Gbogi, Laura Misco, Meg Paonessa, Ben Pladek, Jacob Riyeff, CJ Scruton, Angela Sorby, and Katherine Zlabek, as well as distinguished visiting writers such as Amina Gautier.
Any student, from any major, can also opt to minor in creative writing. Check out the requirements here.
