Rev. Thomas W. Neitzke, S.J.

Rev. Thomas W. Neitzke, S.J., Ed.D., was elected to the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Board of Trustees in 2017.

As the Interim Vice President for Advancement, Vice President and Special Assistant to the President of Loyola University Chicago, Father Neitzke supports the president in fundraising, strategic direction and operations at one of the nation's largest Catholic and Jesuit universities. He previously served as the Dean of Arrupe College, a two-year Loyola college offering a rigorous liberal arts education to students from diverse backgrounds and financial needs. In addition, Father Neitzke is a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Education, where he teaches courses in leadership and mentors aspiring educational administrators. With over a decade of experience in administration, he is passionate about providing access and excellence in education for all students, especially those from marginalized and underserved communities.

Father Neitzke earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, a master's degree in educational administration from the University of San Francisco, and a master of divinity degree from Santa Clara University. He holds a doctorate from Creighton University, focusing on collaborative fundraising, the intersection of religious and secular non-profit partnerships, and the unique landscape of Jesuit education at the margins.

Father Neitzke served as chairman of the board at Creighton Preparatory School before his term there as president. He currently serves on ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, Scranton University, and the National Cristo Rey Network boards. His past board service includes Seattle University, Georgetown Preparatory School, Loyola Academy, Brophy College Preparatory School, Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands, and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ High School.
