January 2020—, Raynor Memorial Libraries' institutional repository, has passed a major milestone. Marquette research in the repository has been downloaded more than five million times since its launch in 2008. The library's Digital Programs unit, which manages the repository, is hosting an on February 5, 2020, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Members of the Marquette community are invited to stop by and celebrate the occasion with cake and coffee.
The e-Publications@Marquette research repository provides a barrier-free platform for Marquette scholars to share the fruits of their scholarship with anyone around the globe. It also serves as a central showcase for the research activities taking place across Marquette. As such, the repository acts as a catalyst in the advancement of scholarship at Marquette and beyond, from helping junior Marquette faculty build their case for promotion to equipping interdisciplinary scholars with a platform for collaboration.
