February 2024—Marquette-produced scholarship in Raynor Memorial Libraries’s institutional repository has marked a major milestone: 10 million downloads. Originating in all countries of the world, the 10 million downloads represent a strong indicator of the impact of Marquette research.
Dr. Jeanne Hossenlopp, Marquette’s vice president for research and innovation, observed:
"This milestone offers strong evidence of the quality of Marquette research and of the power that Raynor’s repository has to amplify the impact of Marquette scholarship across the globe. We are grateful for the many ways that the Raynor Memorial Libraries supports our community of scholars.”
Raynor’s repository, , was established in 2008 to offer Marquette scholars an online platform for showcasing their work and providing free global access to it. The repository presently offers access to more than 34,500 works created by hundreds of current and former Marquette faculty and students.
The works available from the repository reflect the breadth of knowledge generated at Marquette—from research reports in the health sciences to working papers in economics. Topping the list of most downloaded works are:
