Tips for Finding a Faculty Mentor
- Go to MU.edu
- Type in the college that you’re interested in (e.g. “engineering”)
- Visit the “research” tab
- Select different research topics and/or faculty
- Thoroughly search through the faculty’s publications using Google Scholar
- Type in the name of the faculty member and read their most recent publication abstracts (it should be less than a paragraph)
- Email the faculty mentor using their Marquette email address to inquire about being a research assistant in their lab
