Kevin BoudreauKEVIN P. BOUDREAU, BUS AD '86

Gilbert, Ariz.

Active is an understatement when it comes to Kevin Boudreau. Taking all his extracurriculars into consideration 鈥 the volunteering, the charity work, the teaching, the coaching 鈥 the man makes running his own business seem like a drop in the bucket.

Maybe it has something to do with the company he keeps.

Friendships with fellow accounting students like Marquette Board of Trustees Chairman Darren Jackson, Bus Ad 鈥86, reinforce the strong values he learned at Marquette.

鈥淏eing around people like Darren has to influence your success,鈥 Kevin says. 鈥淢arquette reinforced the values and work ethic my parents taught me.鈥

Kevin has made good of his influences 鈥 and core values 鈥 as executive vice president and owner of Boudreau Consulting LLC, which he founded in 1997. The consulting firm provides estate, financial and business planning services to a mix of corporate clients that includes the Diocese of Phoenix, five Catholic churches, doctors, photographers, art dealers, PR firms, and other entities as far away as France, the Netherlands and Thailand.

Before starting his own consulting firm, Boudreau was director of Qwest Communications, vice president of First Interstate Bank and manager at Arthur Andersen. But running his own gig is where it鈥檚 at.

鈥淏eing self-employed allows us a few more family moments than other traditional jobs would allow,鈥 he says.

It also allows Kevin to be especially giving of his time. He鈥檚 involved with the town of Gilbert, Ariz., in multiple capacities, one of which is serving as president of Gilbert鈥檚 Water Resources Municipal Property Corp. A youth soccer coach, referee, team manager and coach coordinator for the past 10 years, he鈥檚 also a founding member of Gilbert Sister Cities and Phoenix Youth At Risk.

Kevin and his family are also involved at Christ the King parish in Mesa, acting as faith leaders for confirmation classes and helping students assist local homeless and clothing shelters.

Fun facts: Kevin was a member of the Marquette Alumni Association National Board of Directors in the early 1990s. He also was president of the Phoenix Alumni Club for two stints and instrumental in establishing the Century Club Scholarship for Arizona high school students attending Marquette.
