Transportation Research Center

Welcome

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Transportation Research Center (MUTRC) brings together expertise across ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ to tackle transportation-related problems. The world of transportation is changing rapidly, with new technologies and data leading to major advances. Having core competencies in transportation systems and pavement engineering as well as partners with expertise ranging from electrical and mechanical systems to sustainability, the TRC is poised to tackle a broad range of subjects in transportation research and education.

The MUTRC houses laboratory and office space in Haggerty Hall / Olin Engineering with computing equipment for data collection and analysis and material testing such as the Engineering Materials and Structural Testing Laboratory (EMSTL). The MUTRC partners with several other labs around Marquette, including the Vehicle Crashworthiness Lab (VCL), MEMS and advanced microsystems, Hydraulics Lab, and Marquette Embedded Systems Laboratory, among others. This network of laboratories is equipped to tackle cutting-edge transportation research that crosses traditional subject boundaries.
