Is the School of Dentistry currently accepting new patients?

Yes, we currently are accepting new patients. Are you interested in applying? We encourage you to learn how to become a patient with us.

How do I make an appointment?

Call (414) 288-6790 to speak with one of our representatives. Please note that we cannot guarantee an appointment for all callers.

What if I have existing X-rays? I’ve already had dental X-rays done, can the school use these in evaluating my teeth instead of taking new X-rays?

If you’ve had X-rays taken in the last six months by another dentist, we encourage you to bring them along to your appointment. If these X-rays are not readable or too old, it will be necessary to take new X-rays before we can serve your needs.

What can I expect from my screening appointment?

At your first appointment, your teeth will be assessed to determine whether your dental needs match the educational needs of our students. Please note that no other dental treatment will be provided at this appointment. If the School of Dentistry program isn’t right for you, we encourage you to find a private dentist or dental clinic to meet your dental needs.

How long can I expect my appointment to last?

Our school appointments last 2 to 4 hours. Do not leave pets in your car for this duration.

What if I am unavailable to accompany my child to appointments?

At your first visit, as the parent or legal guardian, you can give written consent for another adult (over 18 years of age) to bring and stay in the school for your child’s appointments. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a consenting adult.

What if I only need braces or a root canal and I have my own dentist?

Our orthodontic and endodontic clinics accept patients from referring dentists, but only for these specialties. You will need to return to your dentist for crowns, fillings, annual exams and cleanings.

If I am inactivated from the school program, may I be rescreened?

It depends on several factors: how long ago you were screened, if you are a teaching case, if you were compliant with our policies and treatment plans, if you did not fail or cancel more than 2 appointments, if you are reachable by a reliable phone, and if it is in the best interest and safety of our students. Some patients are permanently inactivated, and some may be rescreened in 2 years.
