The 蜜桃影像 School of Dentistry offers year-round courses for dental professionals in almost all phases of dentistry.
Continuing education courses vary in length and content and are designed to accommodate the general practitioner and specialist.
Course schedules are mailed regularly to all Wisconsin dentists and other interested parties. In addition, regular course announcements are sent to our email list. To add yourself to either list, please contact us.

Information on the Controlled Substance Education Requirement for DEA Registration
Sec. 1263 of the spending bill Congress passed in December 2022 requires controlled substance prescribers to complete 8 hours of one-time training on safe controlled substance prescribing as a condition of receiving or renewing a DEA registration. The statutory language was taken from a separate bill, titled the Medication Access and Training Expansion Act (or MATE Act).
The American Dental Association has prepared .
To qualify, coursework must meet three criteria:
- The course must be an approved topic.
- The course must cover some aspect of the safe pharmacological management of dental pain and screening, brief intervention, and referral for appropriate treatment of patients with or at risk of developing opioid and other substance use disorders. The subject matter is broadly defined.
- The course must be conducted through an approved medium.
- The training may take the form of classroom situations, seminars at professional society meetings, electronic communications, or otherwise.
- The course must be delivered by a designated training provider.
- ADA CERP providers (including Marquette School of Dentistry), the ADA and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) are designated training providers. .
- Current and upcoming courses
- Marquette School of Dentistry is offering courses that cover the required topics. On November 8th, there will be a 2-hour program 鈥Pain Control in Dentistry: Alternatives to Opiate Pain Medication鈥. We are also offering the program "Comprehensive Approach to Dental Pain Management in the Evolving Substance Use Disorder Epidemic". This is a free online opioid course in conjunction with the WI Dept. of Health Services (meets the WI requirement for Oct 1, 2023 through Sep 30, 2025). - The ADA offers . These courses are free for ADA members; some are free for non-members as well.
- The American Medical Association also has on the subject.
- Credit for dental school classes
- If you graduated from dental school in the last five years, qualified coursework is also eligible. Depending upon your school and curriculum, it may not be a full 8 hours, but your school can provide a document for hours they can verify. Seminar Fees/Discount Policy
Seminar fees & discounts vary upon the course. Only one discount may be applied per registration. Please consult the for more information.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be issued with notification at least two weeks before the beginning date of the course. Cancellations received within two weeks before the start date will receive a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee.
No refunds will be issued once a course has begun.
The School of Dentistry reserves the right to cancel a course because of low enrollment or unforeseen emergencies. In the event of a cancellation, all registrants will be notified as quickly as possible.

The 蜜桃影像 School of Dentistry is a recognized provider by the Continuing Education Recognition Program conducted under the auspices of the American Dental Association.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual activities or instructors, nor does it imply acceptace of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

Parking
For evening courses held at the School of Dentistry, free parking is usually available in the lot behind the School. For courses held during the day, parking is available in the structure on 16th Street.
Please note: There is a parking charge on campus. To receive free parking, you must obtain a voucher when you check in for the course.
