Educational Policy and Leadership

Dr. Burmeister joined the College of Education in 2015 after 34 years in K-12 education, starting as a high school English and Speech teacher and serving in a variety of administrative roles, including the last 14 years as a superintendent in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Cardinal Stritch and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ at various times over the past 15 years. In 2009, Dr. Burmeister received the ​ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ College of Education EDPL Achievement Award.
