Working as a student employee is a great way to get involved on campus. There are a variety of different positions with for the Center of Engagement and Inclusion, the LGBTQ+ Resource Center, the Center for Community Service, Sorority and Fraternity Life, and AMU/Student Engagement.
Our departments seek committed individuals who are willing to exercise leadership and make an impact on the Marquette campus community. Each year hundreds of programs and services are designed by students and staff in these offices, which encourage active student involvement, foster a lifelong ethic of service, and enhance student leadership. YOU can help make those things happen! In addition to the opportunity to make a difference on campus and in the surrounding community, our offices also help student employees gain excellent job skills and experience - leadership, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, program development, and the opportunity to meet and interact with diverse populations.
NOTE: The following positions are currently open for the academic year 2023-2024. For 2023-2024, the roles pay $10/hour. Work dates vary per department. Student employees will work with supervisors and department employees to determine work hours during breaks and holidays
Program Intern for CEI Programs and Services
The Program Intern (PI) position is a student position in the Office of Intercultural Engagement, which includes the Center for Intercultural Engagement and the LGBTQ Resource Center, designed to provide students with programming and event planning, coordination, and implementation experience. The position also offers students an opportunity to learn more about the Catholic-Jesuit value of human dignity and social justice, while also fostering an appreciation for diversity and inclusion in a global context. The Program Assistant will also work closely in connecting first generation students and students from underrepresented racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, sex, and religious communities to campus resources. Further, the Program Assistant will assist students in having engaging and interactive relationships regarding diversity and inclusion at Marquette and in their respective communities. Program Intern for Peer Engagement Programs - Center for Engagement and Inclusion
The Program Intern (PI) position is a student position within the Office of Engagement and Inclusion (OEI); the open position will specifically be situated within the Center for Engagement and Inclusion (CEI). This position is designed to provide students with engaging programs and student outreach, specifically with first-generation students and students who participate in RISE, the multicultural pre-orientation. The PI will work closely in connecting first generation students and students from underrepresented communities (racial/ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, religious, etc.) to campus resources. The PI will assist students in having engaging and interactive relationships regarding diversity and inclusion and first gen promotion efforts at Marquette and in their respective communities. Responsible for assisting with all aspects of implementing a comprehensive community service program, including planning and facilitation of campus-wide community service programs, transportation, volunteer recognition, reflection training, educational programs and outreach to community service organizations and community agencies. Program Intern for Sorority and Fraternity Life
Responsible for assisting the Sorority and Fraternity Advisor with all aspects of advising the chapters and governing organizations which comprise the sorority and fraternity community, including information management, promoting sorority and fraternity activities and enhancing the leadership development, scholarship, and service goals of fraternities and sororities. Campus Activities Board Executive Committee Chair
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Executive Committee Chair is responsible for assisting with the creation, promotion, and implementation of Campus Activity Board events at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, which include but are not limited to Homecoming programming, Late Night Marquette programs, senior celebration, and other as determined by the Campus Activities Board. The Committee Chair for the Campus Activities Board is responsible for developing a comprehensive calendar of CAB events, reserving event and publicity space, managing promotion strategies to create campus-wide knowledge of CAB programs, working with entertainers and agencies to book entertainment, and collaborate with other offices and student organizations in planning, publicizing, and executing CAB programs. Approximately 10 hours/week, $10.50 per hour.

Program Intern for Leadership
The Program Intern for Leadership Development is responsible for assisting with leadership development within the AMU student employment program as well as with fall and spring Division of Student Affairs student leadership offerings (e.g. Olson Leadership Institute, spring wellness leadership retreat, student leadership awards, etc.). Approximately 5-10 hours/week, $10.00 per hour.

Program Intern for Student Organizations
The Program Assistant for Student Organizations is a student staff member in the Alumni Memorial Union. Supervision is provided by members of the Campus Activities and Student Engagement staff. The Student Organization Program Intern is responsible for assisting with the management of the 300+ registered student organizations, maintaining communication of important information to all groups, and implementing organizational development programs. Approximately 5-10 hours/week, $10.00 per hour.
