Carrels, Research or Study

Carrels are small, lockable offices within the library that graduate students (and some faculty) may apply for. Click on the preceding links to find information about them and about the application process.

Check-outs and Renewals

The Library Services Desk handles book/equipment check-outs and returns, recalls for library material checked-out to another user, and all notices and bills for overdue material. 

Classroom Reservations

Raynor Library has two computer classrooms that faculty and staff may reserve for occasional use. All such requests will be reviewed by the Library's Research and Instructional Services department.

Conference Center

The Conference Center in Raynor Library provides comfortable meeting spaces for university academic and administrative needs. Located in the lower level of the library, the center can accommodate events ranging from small meetings up to larger conferences with attendance up to 120 persons. The rooms are capable of a variety of physical and technological configurations providing flexibility for meetings and presentations.

There are several PrintWise copier/printers in the Raynor Library buildings, including two color PrintWise copier/printers. Check the floor plans for specific locations.

Group Study Rooms

Raynor Library offers 15 study rooms for groups of students. To ensure access for as many students as possible, the rooms are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whiteboards

Movable whiteboards are available throughout Raynor and Memorial. Dry erase markers are available for checkout from the Library Services Desk.
