Clinical Assistant Professor, Co-Director of Clinical Education

Physical Therapy

David Stocker is the Co-Director of Clinical Education and an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Physical Therapy Department at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. David attended ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ from 2011-2017, receiving both his B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees. He began teaching in the program in the fall of 2018 as a lab instructor for the patient management course series and started his role as the co-DCE and Assistant Clinical Professor in the summer of 2023. He has also volunteered as a clinical instructor since 2018 at the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ ComMUnity clinic, a probono physical therapy clinic that provides free PT services to the uninsured and underinsured in the Milwaukee community.  

Prior to his full-time involvement at Marquette, David worked at an outpatient clinic on the south side of Milwaukee treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. He was the case manager for the work conditioning program, assisting injured workers in their return to previous employment. David has a particular passion for treating patients with chronic pain conditions and co-chaired a committee to improve the treatment of these challenging diagnoses. He has also held part-time clinical positions at an area skilled nursing facility and acute care hospital.
