This program was created by and for college faculty to initiate and sustain a variety of activities among faculty and students that would investigate various dimensions of communication ethics, values and social justice.

The O'Brien Fellowship

The Perry and Alicia O'Brien Fellowship in Public Service Journalism at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ fosters excellence in journalism and improves the quality of news and information reaching the American public.

Housed within Johnston Hall, the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service is a multimedia website that provides objective and professional reporting on urban issues in central city Milwaukee communities

Messmer Partnership

A growing partnership between the college and Messmer High School, a Catholic high school serving a diverse, urban population, encourages Messmer students to explore communication majors at Marquette

Urban Journalism Workshop

The Urban Journalism Workshop offers aspiring journalists a sense of the real world of news reporting. During this intensive two-week summer program, high school students use Diederich College of Communication facilities and equipment to provide content for the Urban Voice, a multi-media website capturing diverse perspectives and mirroring the converging worlds of media.
